Real Madrid have reached personal terms with Brazilian goalkeeper but still need to agree a fee for Roma to complete the deal, claims Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The European champions want to sign a replacement for Keylor Navas and are confident of achieving that this summer now Zidane Zidane is no longer manager.

Zidane, who heavily endorsed Navas during his time at Madrid, announced his departure just days after leading the club to their third straight Champions League trophy.

Madrid have since replaced Zidane with former Spain head coach Julen Lopetegui and have been busy working to secure a new goalkeeper for next season.

Manchester United ace David De Gea has been heavily linked with a move to Madrid in recent years but now it has emerged Los Blancos have made their move for Alisson.

Lopetegui’s side have reportedly agreed terms on a six-year deal for the Brazil international, but their opening offer is still €20m short of matching Roma’s valuation.

Madrid have offered Roma €55m (£48.5m) plus another €5m in bonuses but the Serie A giants are holding out for €80m (£70.5m).

Liverpool have also been heavily linked with a move for Alisson but Jurgen Klopp is refusing to match Roma’s demands and has conceded defeat in his pursuit of the 25-year-old.

Of goalkeepers that made at least five appearances in Serie A last season, Alisson had the best save success rate (80.2%).
